How my First Ever Part-time Job Went Wrong
My first part-time job was a rEaL sUcCesS story. I was a waitress at this fancy Italian joint at the ripe age of 15. It only took me two weeks to realize that memorizing 30 different drinks and fancy pasta names was not my forte. So, I got creative and made up my own names for the dishes. It worked like a charm until my manager caught on.
But that's not even the worst part. As a person with teeny-tiny hands, carrying three or four heavy, hot plates was a recipe for disaster. I kid you not, after just two weeks, my wrists were in excruciating pain. I couldn't even hold a single plate without breaking down in tears.
I had to say ciao to my promising waitressing career and embark on a three-week journey of physical therapy.
